Head of Financial Controlling and Treasury
We are looking for a Head of Financial Controlling & Treasury to manage group reporting, drive finance transformation and lead treasury processes in our team.
We are looking for Head of Financial Controlling and Treasury to take ownership of the Group’s financial reporting, treasury processes and drive finance transformation at scale. The ideal candidate will be able to elevate finance processes to the next level while also providing hands-on support to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Financial Control
Lead the internal reporting team and manage our external partners day-to-day
Own the Group’s external financial reporting processes and all statutory requirements
We are looking for a hands-on finance professional who can provide practical support across a range of accounting and finance topics, depending on the person’s experience and background
The role may include supporting areas such as monthly and annual closing, consolidation, IFRS-related matters, transfer pricing, taxation, and annual financial statement preparation, as well as other day-to-day finance tasks where practical execution support is needed
The main counterparty for external accountants
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and other key financial documents
Maintain and evolve Group accounting policies, controls, and governance frameworks
Act as primary contact for external auditors and manage the annual audit process
Ensure ongoing compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, and other regulatory obligations
Process Development & Finance Transformation
Drive finance transformation initiatives and continuous process improvement across the Group
Support ERP implementation and migration projects, ensuring alignment of finance processes, controls, and reporting requirements
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance operations through technology and AI
Develop scalable finance processes and reporting structures that support future growth and acquisitions
Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency
M&A and Treasury
Support M&A transactions end-to-end from financial due diligence and deal structuring to post-merger integration
Own Group treasury processes, including cash management, liquidity planning, and forecasting
Manage banking relationships and act as the primary contact for financial institutions
Oversee Group financing arrangements, credit facilities, and covenant compliance
Develop and maintain treasury policies and controls in line with Group governance
What We Expect From You
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
7+ years in Financial Controlling or auditing, with strong IFRS expertise
Deep expertise in Group consolidation
Proven ability to combine leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement in closing and consolidation
Experience leading finance teams and managing stakeholders across multiple entities and jurisdictions
Experience supporting M&A transactions and integration projects
Experience managing treasury operations and banking relationships
Fluent in both Finnish and English, written and spoken
We also appreciate if you have:
Experience with NetSuite or Tagetik
Experience using AI tools in a finance context

Salary

Typical salaries for this role range from 7000-8500 € per month. The final salary level will be defined as discussions progress and we gain a more detailed understanding of your expertise. We also offer separate bonuses linked to the company’s success, which may relate to areas such as recruitment, sales, or increasing Gofore’s brand awareness.
