In this role, you will develop high-quality software solutions for satellite data processing in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You’ll work on scientifically and technically challenging systems where reliability, performance, and clarity matter.

What we expect from you

Prerequisites

• M.Sc or Ph.D. degree in a suitable field such as physics, mathematics, computer science, automation technology, or a closely related area

• Experience in software development, preferably in a Linux environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Fluent English and good communication skills

• An ambitious and curious mindset, ability to work collaboratively, and a strong willingness to learn
  

What is considered an advantage

Nice-to-haves

• Programming skills in C/C++, Java, and Python (experience with modern C++ is especially appreciated)

• Experience in software design and requirements engineering

• Knowledge of automated unit and validation testing

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab

• Hands-on experience with Docker

• Experience in GUI development (e.g. using Qt)

• Experience in parallel programming (e.g. OpenMP)

• Background in software documentation (user manuals, test specifications, etc.)

• Experience in any of the following areas:

  • Safety-critical software

  • Remote sensing

  • Algorithm development

  • Scientific computing

  • GNSS

  • Inverse problems and radiative transfer models

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Competence or strong interest in other software areas, especially embedded software

Salary

Typically, the salary range for this role is between €3900-€4500 per month, and we can determine the appropriate level together as discussions progress and we learn more about your skills. In addition to the monthly salary, we offer a reward system that includes an incentive based on jointly achieved results.
